The Pharmacy First Service is an NHS initiative designed to offer patients prompt assistance for common health conditions. Our pharmacists are trained to assess your symptoms, provide clinical advice, and, where appropriate, prescribe medications to help you feel better without the need to visit your GP or A&E.

The service is available to individuals registered with a GP in England. Age restrictions apply for certain conditions:

It’s easy to get a Pharmacy First appointment with a MediHealth Direct pharmacist. In a few short steps, you can get a consultation and treatment.
Book through our app or through our website. Our Pharmacy First consultations are open from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm and Friday and Sunday from 8 am to 11 pm.
Our pharmacist will conduct a confidential consultation to assess your symptoms and determine the appropriate treatment.
If suitable, the pharmacist will provide medication or self-care advice to help manage your condition.
