Adeel brings a wide range of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist. Dealing primarily with medication optimisation and safety reviews to ensure you get the best from your medication. Adeel’s experience as Senior Clinical Pharmacist in General Practice widened his scope of practice and holds clinics for long-term condition reviews, including heart failure, hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes, Asthma and Mental Health reviews.
Adeel has a special interest in barriers to healthcare and is currently working on addressing health inequalities in BAME communities in Nottingham.
Mariam Jalil is a healthcare professional with a BA (Hons) in Social Sciences from Nottingham Trent University, where she developed a deep understanding of the societal factors influencing health outcomes. She has a strong passion for improving healthcare access for minority communities and has led health clubs and awareness campaigns tailored to Asian minorities, ensuring that underserved communities receive the support they need.
Mariam’s experience extends internationally; after completing a TEFL certification, she taught English at various universities in Saudi Arabia, enhancing her communication skills and broadening her understanding of cultural diversity. Currently, she serves as the Director for Training and Health Solutions, where she leads initiatives that enhance training programmes and healthcare solutions. Her work involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop innovative strategies to improve access to services and promote overall wellbeing.
